The Byron Review and BBC Jam

There's a lot of talk about the Byron Review at the moment, but an interesting aspect of it caught my eye today, from the former head of BBC Jam, on the Guardian's letters page:

  1. I was on the same table as Richard at a dinner recently and conversation turned to BBC Jam. He defended it vigorously against an onslaught by John Davitt and others.

My experience is that we can't look back too much and say things would be alright if they'd gone in another direction.
